Amaro Silano is Calabria’s oldest bitter liqueur, produced by Liquorificio 1864 from a historic recipe developed in 1864 by Raffaello Bosco using herbs gathered in the Sila mountains.
MAIN FEATURES
Alcohol: 30% vol. in the classic version. Colour: bright brown or deep amber. Aroma: intense herbs and aromatic roots, balsamic notes, resin, bark and woodland. Taste: full, balanced and bittersweet, with a lingering finish.
BOTANICALS
The original recipe involves slow maceration of 9 main herbs and roots: gentian, cloves, iris, rhubarb, quassia, yarrow, cardamom, coriander and Aloe ferox.
INGREDIENTS: water, sugar, alcohol, typical herbs.
